日面月面並現，印空印水雙彰，機先不留眹跡，格外亦絕承當。父子至親路別，各各頂有圓光，切恐與人明破，此門豈可商量。

Sun-face and moon-face appear together; / seal in the air and seal on water are both manifested. / Before dynamic sharpness, no omen or trace remains; / beyond the pattern, all shouldering is also severed. / Father and son are closest of kin, yet their paths diverge; / each has a round halo atop the crown. / Fearing only that it be explained clearly to others, / how could this gate ever be negotiated?
