20.155

昨日一箇正可憐，今朝一箇更凄然，飜身踏著曹溪路，妙體堂堂沒變遷。妙師愛參禪，祖佛要齊肩，索然恁麼去，一朵火中蓮。生也浮雲突出，死也空華倏沒，頂後圓同太虛，畢竟非心非佛。大眾！看取一道紅光，爍破無生窠窟。

Yesterday one was truly pitiful; / today another is even more mournful. / Turning the body, he treads the path of Caoxi; / his wondrous form stands tall without change. / Master Miao loved to practice Chan, / wishing to stand shoulder to shoulder with ancestors and buddhas; / desolate, departing thus— / a single lotus in the midst of fire. / Arising, like a floating cloud suddenly emerging; / dying, like an empty flower abruptly vanishing; / behind the crown of the head, round like empty space, / in the end neither mind nor buddha. / Great assembly! Behold the single beam of red light, / blazing through the nest of the unproduced!
