20.4

善因招善果，種粟不生豆，大福德人修，大福德人受，
八萬四千波羅蜜，一毫頭上已圓成，
棒頭喝下承當得，高步毘盧頂上行。

Good causes bring about good results; / Sowing millet does not produce beans. / One of great blessing and virtue cultivates it; / One of great blessing and virtue receives it. / The eighty-four thousand pāramitās / Are already fully accomplished upon the tip of a single hair. / Should you undertake it under the blow of the staff and shout, / You will walk high above the crown of Vairocana's head.
