3.25

謝監寺上堂云：「滴水氷生，百了千當，鐵作脊梁骨，金鑄堅實心，荷負叢林，贊弼知識，典刑可法，直下朴實頭底，且道是什麼人？相逢相見呵呵笑，更有春風春又春。」

Thanking the monastery director, he ascended the hall and said, "A drop of water turns to ice; a hundred completions and a thousand fulfillments. A backbone of iron, a solid heart cast of gold. Shouldering the monastic grove, assisting the spiritual master, his standard is worthy of emulation, being straightforward and honest to the core. But tell me, who is such a person? Meeting and seeing each other with hearty laughter, there is yet spring wind, spring upon spring."
