開堂，判府延康度疏與師，師接了云：「斷盡現成公案，擲地金聲；發明古剎家風，耀天光彩。出自大手筆，顯示最上乘，正欲四海普聞，便請僧正宣過。」

Opening the hall, the Prefectural Magistrate and Yan Kang [scholar] handed the document to the Master. The Master received it and said: "It thoroughly settles the ready-made gong'an, with the sound of gold striking the earth; it illuminates the ancestral style of the ancient monastery, shining bright against the sky. Emerging from the hand of a great master, revealing the supreme vehicle, we now wish the four seas to hear it universally; let the Rectifier of Monks read it aloud."
