到南康軍開堂，於知府手中接得疏，示眾云：「見麼？當陽顯示，直截現成，百匝千重，七通八達，一一宗師巴鼻，頭頭向上宗乘，直下承當猶較些子；苟或未證，却請僧正重為敷宣。」

Arriving at Nankang Military Prefecture to open the hall, receiving the statement of appointment from the hands of the prefect, he showed it to the assembly and said: "Do you see? Manifesting directly before you, immediately present; in hundreds of coils and thousands of layers, open in all directions and penetrating everywhere. Each and every one is a ancestral master's nostrils, each and every one the transcendent lineage vehicle. To directly undertake it is still somewhat capable; if you have not yet verified it, I ask the monastic rector to expound it again for you."
