施主捨法衣，上堂云：「迦葉携坐鷄足峯，老盧持過大庾嶺，如今披向寶華座，孤光逈逈高峯頂，且道：是同是別？錦衣公子貴，林下道人高。」

A donor having offered Dharma robes, he ascended the hall and said: "Kāśyapa carried it to sit on Cock's Foot Peak; old Lu held it across Dayu Ridge. Now donning it upon the precious flower seat, its solitary light shines far and wide atop the lofty peak. And tell me: are they the same or different? A noble youth in brocade robes is prized; a person of the Way beneath the forest is exalted."
