[Yuanwu] brought up [the case]: "Magu, carrying his ring-staff, went to see Zhangjing. He circled the rope chair three times, shook his staff once, and stood upright and tall. Zhangjing said, 'So it is, so it is.' Later he arrived at Nanquan, and likewise circled the rope chair three times, shook his staff once, and stood upright and tall. Nanquan said, 'Not so, not so.' Magu said, 'Zhangjing said "so"; why, Venerable Sir, do you say "not so"?' Nanquan said, 'Zhangjing is so, but it is you who are not so. This is driven by the force of the wind; in the end it will come to ruin.'"
