The Noble Consort Qiao arranged a Thousand Buddhas Assembly. Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "A thousand flowers reveal auspicious responses; ten thousand goods accumulate upon the spiritual terrace. Broadly opening the gate of liberation, widely displaying the priceless treasury, holding forth the True Dharma Eye, manifesting the cause of a thousand buddhas. It directly reaches where the entire realm is free of traps and cages, and in plain sight there is no grasping or rejecting; penetrating sound and penetrating form, spanning past and present. There is one endowed with great roots of faith, practicing bodhisattva conduct, generating inconceivable power of vows, inaugurating pure adornment, establishing a great bodhimaṇḍa, fully arranging precious delicacies: one incense, one flower, one tea, one fruit, identical with the Dharma-nature, equal to the great void. In every dust mote and every kṣetra, a thousand buddhas emit radiance; according with principle and according with phenomena, universally responding throughout the ten directions. Therefore it is said: 'The great carpenter has no plumb line; fine timber has no crooked or straight. The red disc glitters in the great void; the whole realm is illuminated with radiance.' When a single flower opens, a buddha appears in the world; when a single dust mote is raised, a buddha attains the Way. Host and companion mutually intermingle; the myriad phenomena shine brightly. Gathering boundless blessings and prosperity, we pray for the imperial lifespan to be without limit. Right at such a time, what do you say? A thousand lamps within the room shine upon one another; the precious moon at the edge of the sky is even purer and rounder."
