5.26

Ascending the hall on the festive occasion of the Grand Sacrifice: "'On the seventh day comes the return'—each returns to the root of ultimate exhaustion; 'the single yang arises'—at once is seen the heart of Heaven and Earth. Blessings gather upon the One Man; the imperial throne is exalted without limit. There is an extraordinary circumstance that accords with the time and season, which I bring forth to the great assembly. Do you thoroughly understand it? The Emperor has issued an edict granting a great amnesty to all under Heaven."
