Ascending the hall, he said: "Great assembly! Many hands panning gold together, everyone obtains something. Frosty wind assaults from all four sides; heavenly flowers fill the folds of our robes. For a great reward, merits are not counted; empty space ever constricts. Dividing the body into hundreds of thousands of kotis: Maitreya is the true Maitreya." He added: "Entering the water, one must slay the flood dragon; entering the mountains, one must capture the tiger. Just as one dashes down the emperor's bell, one beats the poison-smeared drum. One arrow shoots down nine crows; a single pinch weighs a thousand jun of earth. The sages cannot harmonize with it evenly: the twenty-fifth of the twelfth month."
