入院上堂：「山僧未離泉州時，已與諸人相見了也，臨安府亦與諸人相見了也，及乎來到山中擊動法鼓，坐立儼然眼眼相覷，為甚麼却不相識？只為分明極，翻令所得遲。」

Entering the monastery, he ascended the hall: "Before this mountain monk had left Quanzhou, I had already met with you all; in Lin'an Prefecture I also met with you all. When it came to arriving in the mountains, beating the Dharma drum, sitting and standing solemnly, staring face to face, eye to eye, why do we instead not recognize each other? Just because it is extremely clear, it conversely delays attainment."
