三聖云：「我逢人即出，出則不為人。」興化云：「我逢人即不出，出則便為人。」頌云：

Sansheng said, "When I meet someone, I immediately go forth; but having gone forth, it is not for their sake." Xinghua said, "When I meet someone, I do not immediately go forth; but when I go forth, it is precisely for their sake." The verse says:
