11.40

塵無自性，攬真成立，擬和其光，同亦俱失。外既匪寬，內亦不窒，是義非虛，亦復非實。菴中主人，如玉處石，作如是觀，千載一息。

Dust lacks self-nature;
grasping the real, it is established.
Attempting to harmonize its light,
both identity and light are lost.
The outer is not wide;
the inner is also unblocked.
This principle is not unreal,
yet neither is it real.
The host within the hermitage
is like jade dwelling in stone.
Making such a contemplation,
a thousand ages are a single breath.
