未點先行不唧𠺕，不撥自轉已出醜，那堪更鼓兩片皮，豈止鑿空開戶牖。火中木馬空嘶鳴，水底泥牛謾哮吼，用禪用禪聽我言，拶到懸崖須放手。

Acting before the signal is clumsy;
turning unprompted already reveals ugliness.
How can one bear further flapping two strips of skin—
does that not merely gouge out empty space to cut windows?
A wooden horse whinnies in vain amid fire;
a mud ox bellows fruitlessly on the waterbed.
Chan practitioner Yong, listen to my words:
when pressed to the edge of the cliff, you must let go your hands.
