以火炬指龕云：「這箇是已滅底法燈。」復舉起火炬云：「這箇是無漏底智火。」無漏智火然法燈，然也滅也無不可燈。監寺還知麼？灰飛煙滅後，優曇華一朵。

Pointing to the shrine with the torch, he said: 'This is the Dharma-Lamp that has already been extinguished.' He raised the torch again and said: 'This is the fire of undefiled wisdom.' The fire of undefiled wisdom lights the Dharma-lamp; whether lighted or extinguished, nothing is inadmissible. Temple Director, do you understand? After the ashes fly and the smoke disperses, a single udumbara blossom.
