12.38

贈以之中語，咸云祕密言，誰知此老子，非妙亦非玄。直截不藏覆，當機火裏蓮，誰人明此意，端坐自擎拳。

Words presented to him were all called secret phrases;
who knew this old fellow was neither wondrous nor mysterious?
Direct and unhidden, a lotus amidst fire meeting the occasion;
whoever understands this intention sits upright and raises his own fist.
