12.94

謂汝是善人耶，嫉惡之太甚；謂汝是惡人耶，
好賢而樂善。而於善惡兩塗之間了無遺恨。（咦）
好箇自是漢，高談無畔岸，成佛作祖且緩緩，
這一則公案，分付趙通判。

If one calls you a good person, you hate evil too severely; / If one calls you an evil person, you cherish the worthy and delight in the good. / Yet between the two paths of good and evil, you are completely without regret. / (Bah!) / What a fine self-righteous fellow, / Talking loftily without boundaries! / As for becoming a buddha and acting as a patriarch, take it slow; / This gong'an is entrusted to Controller-General Zhao.
