20.5

上士聞道，如印印空；中士聞道，如印印水；下士聞道，如印印泥。此印與空水泥無差別，因上中下之士故，有差別耳，如今欲徑入此道，和印子擊碎，然後來與妙喜相見。

When a superior person hears the Way, it is like a seal stamping empty space. When a middling person hears the Way, it is like a seal stamping water. When an inferior person hears the Way, it is like a seal stamping mud. This seal has no difference with respect to space, water, or mud; it is merely that because of superior, middling, and inferior persons, there are differences. Now, if you wish to enter directly into this Way, smash the seal completely, and then come see Miaoxi.
