24.19

「蓋天蓋地那一著，無今無古絕承當，
謾將分付密禪者，一任諸方亂度量。
瞎驢滅却正法眼，臨濟宗風始大張，
可憐裨販如來者，盡將蓋覆錯商量。」

"That single move that covers heaven and covers earth,
Transcending past and present, is utterly beyond undertaking.
I casually entrust it to Chan practitioner Mi;
Let all directions measure it in confusion as they will.
When the blind donkey extinguished the treasury of the true dharma eye,
The Linji house style only then broadly unfurled.
How pitiable are those who peddle the Tathāgata,
Covering it all over in mistaken deliberation!"
