3.17

上堂：「今朝正月半，有則舊公案，點起數盌燈，打鼓普請看。看即不無，忽爾油盡燈滅時，暗地裏切忌撞著露柱。」

Ascending the high seat: "Today is the middle of the first month; there is an old gong'an. Lighting several bowls of lamps, beating the drum, I invite all to look. Looking is not absent, but suddenly, when the oil is exhausted and the lamps go out, in the darkness be strictly careful not to bump into the exposed pillar."
