上堂，舉：「僧問投子：『如何是十身調御？』投子下繩床立。又問：『凡聖相去多少？』投子亦下繩床立。」師云：「投子下繩床，今朝為舉揚，驢前馬後漢，切忌亂承當。」

Ascending the high seat, he cited: "A monk asked Touzi: 'What is the Tamer of Ten Bodies?' Touzi got down from the rope chair and stood. [The monk] also asked: 'How far apart are the ordinary and the sacred?' Touzi also got down from the rope chair and stood." The Master said: "Touzi got down from the rope chair; / Today I expound it for you. / You fellows before donkeys and behind horses, / Be strictly careful not to accept it heedlessly!"
