五祖師翁忌日上堂：「山前一片閑田地，元來記得在，叉手叮嚀問祖翁，只為契券不分明，幾度賣來還自買，難為牙保人，為憐松竹引清風。」喝一喝云：「乞兒見小利。」

Ascending the hall on the anniversary of the passing of Grand Master Wuzu: "A patch of unused land before the mountain—fundamentally I remember it is there. Folding my hands, I carefully inquire of the ancestral grandfather, only because the deed and contract were unclear. Several times sold and bought back oneself, it makes it hard for the middleman, out of love for the pines and bamboos drawing a clear breeze." He gave a shout and said, "A beggar seeing a petty gain."
