解夏上堂：「四月十五這公案，七月十五方結絕，即今這裏許多人，人人有理難分雪。眾中莫有辯口利詞底麼？試出來分雪看，直饒分雪得去也，須腦門著地始得。」

Ascending the high seat at the end of the summer retreat: "This gong'an of the fifteenth day of the fourth month is only settled on the fifteenth day of the seventh month. Right now, among so many people here, everyone has reasons that are difficult to clarify. Is there anyone in the assembly with an eloquent tongue and sharp words? Step forward and try to clarify it! Even if you can clarify it, your forehead must touch the ground before you can obtain it."
