上堂：「舉一不得舉二，放過一著落在第二。若是箇喫飯知飽、飲水知渴底衲僧，不消雲門出來打箇之遶。既不許雲門打箇之遶，只今還有喫飯知飽、飲水知渴底麼？直饒有，也是黃龍精。」

Ascending the hall, the Master said: "'If you bring up one, you must not bring up two; if you let pass the first move, you fall into the second.' If it were a patch-robed monk who knows fullness when eating and knows thirst when drinking, he would not need Yunmen to come out and run circles around it. Since Yunmen is not permitted to run circles around it, right now is there anyone who knows fullness when eating and knows thirst when drinking? Even if there were, he would still be a yellow dragon spirit."
