Ascending the hall, he cited: "Whenever Master Juzhi was asked a question, he only raised a single finger; he also showed off, saying: 'At Tianlong's place, I obtained One-Finger Chan, which I have used all my life without exhausting.' Later, Langye wrote a verse: 'Juzhi's single finger—I report for you to know: / A hawk born this morning battles the sky in flight. / Without the strength to lift a tripod and uproot a mountain, / the thousand-league Wuzhui steed is not easy to ride.'" The Master said: "If Master Juzhi had not had Langye vent his spirit for him, this One-Finger Chan would almost have been buried away. Since Miaoxi has cited it thus, inevitably a footnote follows: Juzhi's single finger—only when fully fed with rice does he stop. With a hundred thousand strings of cash wrapped at the waist, riding a crane up to Yangzhou."
