7.41

示眾，舉：「僧問雲峯：『如何是心地法門？』峯云：『不從人得。』僧云：『不從人得時如何？』峯云：『此去衡陽不遠。』」師云：「雲門即不然，如何是心地法門？不從人得。不從人得時如何？看脚下。」

Instructing the assembly, he cited: "A monk asked Yunfeng, 'What is the dharma gate of the mind-ground?' Yunfeng said, 'It is not obtained from others.' The monk said, 'What about when it is not obtained from others?' Yunfeng said, 'From here to Hengyang is not far.'"
The Master said, "Yunmen would not act like this. 'What is the dharma gate of the mind-ground?' 'It is not obtained from others.' 'What about when it is not obtained from others?' 'Look under your feet.'"
