上堂：「五日一參，諸方常例，不說少室單傳，不說靈山受記，會則目前包裹，不會則三頭六臂。忽有箇不受人瞞底出來道：『遮裏是什麼所在，說會與不會。』只對他道：『作賊人心虛。』」

Ascending the hall: “Entering the room once every five days is the common custom across all quarters; here I do not speak of the single transmission of Shaoshi, nor do I speak of the bestowal of prophecy at Gṛdhrakūṭa. If you understand, it is wrapped up before your eyes; if you do not understand, it has three heads and six arms. If there suddenly appeared someone who would not be fooled by others, saying: ‘What place is this to speak of understanding and not understanding?’, I would simply say to him: ‘The thief's heart is uneasy.’”
