Not practicing Chan, not understanding the Way, / Busy all day long, toying with a cloth bag. / At the crossroad, saying he awaits people— / Who knows his affectionate entanglements? / Bowing head to Maitreya, the World-Honoured One: / The state has penal statutes, with three thousand offenses.
