氣宇雲閑，身心木槁，頂門正眼，紅日杲杲。早投長蘆剗草之機，晚分雙徑人天之座，名山屢招而不赴，一菴超然其高臥。夫是謂叢林前輩典刑，宜與趙州同年而並操者也。

His disposition leisurely as clouds, his body and mind withered wood; / The correct eye on the crown of the head, a bright red sun. / Early on, he joined Changlu's dynamic of weeding grass; / Later, he shared the human and heavenly seat of Shuangjing. / Repeatedly invited by famous mountains, he never went, / Transcendent in a single hermitage, sleeping high. / Truly this is what is called a model among elders of the monasteries, / Deserving to match Zhaozhou in years and equal him in conduct.
