上堂：「正令全提十方坐斷，千差萬別一句該通，佛與眾生，皆為剩法。恁麼會得，全賓是主，全主是賓。且超越一句作麼生道？」良久云：「蠱毒之家水莫甞。」

Ascending the hall: "The correct order fully presented cuts off the ten directions; the myriad distinctions and differences are completely encompassed in a single phrase. Buddhas and sentient beings are both superfluous dharmas. Understanding thus, guest is entirely host, and host is entirely guest. But how do you speak a phrase of transcendence?" After a pause, he said: "Do not taste the water in the house of poisonous insects."
