上堂，舉：「龍濟示眾道：『是柱不見柱，非柱不見柱，是非已去了，是非裏薦取。』」卓主丈：「向道莫行山下路，果然猿叫斷腸聲。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: 'Longji instructed the assembly, saying: "It is a pillar, yet one does not see the pillar; it is not a pillar, yet one does not see the pillar. Is and is-not have already been removed; understand it within is and is-not."' Striking with the staff: 'I told you not to walk the road beneath the mountain—indeed, the ape cries with a heart-rending shriek.'
