元宵上堂：「好一椀燈，只是無人東挑西剔，若剔得分明，前街後巷，碧綠青紅，總是眼中屑。且道，是那一椀？」

Ascending the hall on the Lantern Festival: "What a fine bowl of a lamp! It is only that no one trims the wick this way and that. If it were clearly trimmed, the front streets and rear alleys, emerald-green and blue-red, would all be specks in the eye. Tell me, which bowl is it?"
