次日上堂：「呵釋迦叱彌勒，衲僧家氣宇如王，為甚麼今朝草繩自縛？」擊拂子：「覓火和煙得，擔泉帶月歸。」

The next day, ascending the hall: "Berating Śākya and scolding Maitreya, the bearing of a patch-robed monk is like a king. Why today bind oneself with a grass rope?" Striking the whisk: "Seeking fire, one gets it with smoke; carrying spring water, one returns bearing the moon."
