1.94

上堂，舉：「臨際入京教化云：『家常添鉢。』到一家門首，婆云：『太無厭生。』際云：『飯也未得，何言太無厭生？』婆便閉却門。」師云：「蠅見血、鶻捉鳩，拳來踢報、膠漆相投，難提掇處轉風流。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Linji entered the capital to solicit alms, saying, 'In ordinary fashion, fill the bowl.' He arrived at the front door of a household, and the old woman said, 'Far too insatiable!' Linji said, 'I haven't even received rice yet, so why do you say far too insatiable?' The old woman then shut the door." The Master said: "Flies seeing blood, falcons seizing doves; a fist comes, a kick returns; glued and lacquered together. Where it is hard to bring up, it turns even more charming."
