徑山無準和尚至，上堂，舉：「仰山道：『東寺師叔若在，慧寂不致寂寞。』」師云：「仰山飲水貴地脈，報恩久貧乍富，豈敢効顰？未免借一條小路子行。何故？」擊拂子：「移花兼蝶至，買石得雲饒。」

Upādhyāya Wuzhun of Jingshan arrived. Ascending the hall, he cited: "Yangshan said: 'If senior uncle Dongsi were present, Huiji would not be reduced to loneliness.'" The Master said: "When drinking water, Yangshan valued the underground vein. Bao'en, long impoverished and suddenly rich, how could he dare mimic him? Inevitably, I must borrow a small path to walk on. Why?" Striking the whisk, he said: "Moving flowers also brings butterflies; buying rocks gains clouds in abundance."
