問話行者智仁，炷香請語，以此贈之。景定癸亥至節，虛堂老僧書于雪竇西菴，送日本南浦知客。
The questioner, Postulant Zhiren, burned incense and requested words, so I presented this to him. On the Winter Solstice of the jinghai year of the Jingding era, old monk Xutang wrote this at the West Hermitage of Xuedou, seeing off Guest Prefect Nanpo of Japan.
