祖翁在世，語錄二帙，刊流天下。宋咸淳五年，晉之續錄後，集已成三卷，而　本朝未刊行之。先師常為言，而未果成也，為人之後者，曷無勇為乎！仍搜遺逸，新添數紙於後錄之尾，鋟梓于龍翔。正和癸丑開爐日，拙孫（宗卓）敬書。

While our ancestral grandfather was in the world, his recorded sayings in two fascicles were published and circulated throughout the realm. In the fifth year of the Xianchun era of the Song [1269], after the Sequel Record of Jin, the collection had already formed three rolls, but had not yet been printed in our dynasty. Our late master constantly spoke of this, but did not succeed in accomplishing it. As a descendant of others, how could one lack the courage to act! Therefore, searching out the omissions, I have newly added several pages to the end of the Latter Record, carving the printing blocks at Longxiang. On the day of opening the hearth in the guichou year of the Shōwa era [1313], clumsy grandson Sōtaku respectfully wrote this.
