10.74

得之豈在衣盂，賽過南能北秀，胸襟空洞無物，導人如出諸己。正如邪，活如死，一箇無羈藞苴翁，莫教觸著無明起。

Attaining it—how could it lie in the robe and bowl?
He surpassed Southern Neng and Northern Xiu.
His bosom was empty and hollow, with not a thing;
he guided others as if it came from himself.
Just as if wicked, alive as if dead—
an unbridled, rough-and-tumble old fellow;
do not provoke him to arouse ignorance!
