10.78

戴星耕耨，何如叉手插鍬；破曉燒畬，勝似栽田博飯。近制急抽單子，可是本色道流，更若喚不回頭，火焰為汝說法。

Plowing and weeding under the stars—
how can that compare to folding one’s hands and planting the shovel?
Burning slash-and-burn fields at dawn
is better than cultivating fields merely to earn meals.
Lately the regulations urgently pulled your tag;
are you not an authentic follower of the Way?
If you still do not turn your head when called,
the flames will expound the Dharma for you.
