10.80

出水未出水，衲僧未舉先知，有子必有房，動著礙人牙齒，休論半池霜倒，且看綠影浮波。如今移向火中栽，劫外香風來未已，來未已，擲下火把云：休要葛藤。

Emerging from the water or not emerging from the water—
the patch-robed monk knows before it is even mentioned.
Where there is seed, there must be a pod;
stirring it hinders people's teeth.
Do not talk about half the pond fallen in frost;
just look at the green shadows floating on the waves.
Now transplanted into the fire,
the fragrant wind from beyond the kalpas has not ceased coming;
it has not ceased coming.”
He threw down the torch and said, “Do not make entangling vines!”
