容易肯人，難與共語，竹篦頭惜之如金，禪床角委之如土，淨覃知藏善知機，電光影裏分賓主。

Easily giving approval to people, it is difficult to speak with him;
the tip of the bamboo spatula he treasures like gold,
the corner of the meditation couch he casts aside like dirt.
Jingtan, Master of the Canon, well knows the crux of the moment;
within the flash of lightning, host and guest are distinguished.
