10.98

天地不仁，出此妖怪，有偷營劫寨之機，無喜捨慈悲之戒。正脈將沈，法門凋瘵，如何嗣續松源派？大奸難後越精神，罵人嘴毒如蜂蠆。

Heaven and earth are not benevolent to produce such a monster:
he possesses the ingenuity to raid camps and plunder strongholds,
yet lacks the precepts of joy, letting go, and compassion.
The correct lineage is about to sink, the Dharma gate withers and decays—
how can the Songyuan lineage be carried on?
After great tribulations, his spirit is all the more vigorous;
his mouth when scolding people is as venomous as bees and scorpions.
