師乃云：「遠之莫及故曰短，蹤之不即故曰蓬，波波浪浪，西西東東，直鉤已掛雙峨碧，一橈香散蘆花風。」

The Master then said: "'Far' (yuan) cannot be reached, so he is called 'Short' (duan); his traces cannot be caught, so he is called 'Tumbleweed' (peng). Billowing and surging, to the west and to the east, the straight hook is already hung from the green of the Double Emei; from a single oar, fragrance scatters in the wind of the reed flowers."
