2.66

運庵先師忌拈香：「老和尚死去二十五年，有誰撑門拄戶？雖與松源同日行，不會松源三轉語，父子背馳，面不相覩，直至如今成莾鹵，露冷風高秋意深，久矣無心薦藜黍。」

Offering incense on the death anniversary of his late master Yun'an: "The old upādhyāya has been dead for twenty-five years; who is there to prop up the gates and hold up the household? Although walking out on the very same day as Songyuan, he did not understand Songyuan's three turning words. Father and son ran in opposite directions, never looking upon each other's faces; right up to the present it has become rash and desolate. The dew is cold, the wind high, the autumn mood is deep; for long I have had no heart to offer goosefoot and millet."
