拈制府疏：「宣發聖人之妙，如春行萬國，豈在乎三寸筆端重新點出，苟或尚存知解，高聳聽官。」

Holding up the prefectural governor's letter of invitation: "Proclaiming and displaying the wonder of the Sage is like spring traversing the ten thousand states; how could it rely on the tip of a three-inch brush to point it out afresh? If knowledge and understanding still remain, prick up your ears!"
