師乃云：「天理好還，是處溪山舒笑眼；群心響應，信知此道不誣人。所以真不掩偽，曲不藏直，自然草偃風行，太平得路。只如親到柏巖一句，又作麼生？」卓主丈：「青松不礙人來往，野水無心自去留。」

The Master then said: "Heaven's principle likes to return; everywhere the streams and mountains open smiling eyes. The minds of the multitude respond in resonance; know with certainty that this Way does not deceive anyone. Therefore, the true does not conceal the false, and the crooked does not hide the straight. Naturally, the grass bends as the wind blows, and a road of great peace is found. Just so, what about the phrase upon arriving in person at Baiyan?" Striking the staff, he said: "The green pines do not obstruct people's coming and going; the wild waters have no mind, departing and lingering on their own."
