師至法座前，焚香望闕謝恩畢，捧勅黃示眾云：「世尊三昧，金口玉音親付囑，紫泥芝檢，九重城裏鳳銜來，再霑雨露之恩，光闡法門之盛，聲前妙證，聳動群心。」

The Master went before the Dharma seat. Having burned incense and bowed toward the imperial palace to offer thanks, he held up the imperial edict to show the assembly, saying: "The samādhi of the World-Honoured One was personally entrusted by golden mouth and jade tone; the purple-ink imperial document has been borne here by a phoenix from within the ninefold walls. Once again receiving the favour of the imperial dew, brightly illuminating the glory of the Dharma gate, the wonderful realization before sound startles the minds of the multitude."
