不開罵人口，難以見其慈，不徵衲子病，難以表其師，
似之則殃門添禍，否之則鳳林吒之，
畫工筆熟不識伊，白髮𣯶𣯶箇是誰。咄！

Without opening a mouth that scolds people, his compassion would be hard to see; / Without interrogating the patch-robed monks' sicknesses, his masterhood could not be shown. / Resembling him brings calamity to the gate; / Differing from him, Fenglin reproves him. / The painter's brush is practiced, yet knows not him; / White hair straggly—who is this?
