玄沙訪太原孚上座，適值在水樓上打水，沙云：「相看。」孚云：「已相見了。」沙云：「甚麼劫中曾相見？」孚云：「莫瞌睡。」沙白雪峯云：「已勘破了。」峯云：「作麼生勘破？」沙舉前話，峯云：「汝著賊了也。」

Xuansha visited Elder Fu of Taiyuan. He happened to be on the water pavilion drawing water. Sha said: "Look at each other." Fu said: "We have already met." Sha said: "In what kalpa did we once meet?" Fu said: "Do not doze off." Sha reported to Xuefeng: "I have seen right through him." Feng said: "How did you see through him?" Sha cited the previous words. Feng said: "You have been robbed by a thief."
